The Macallan Estate in Speyside is filled with rolling hills, winding rivers and rich, green forests. Their home for almost 200 years, we were asked to capture a wealth of content from the incredible Estate for a variety of projects with The Macallan.

From the inner workings of the distillery, to the fields of barley that nestle along the side of the River Spey, we created a series of short stories to document the idyllic Speyside surroundings where they produce the finest single malt whisky.

A countryside filled with nature, wildlife and the purest water — we were trusted to explore The Macallan Estate to shoot content that could be adapted across the brand, it’s various channels and highlight many of the key elements that make The Macallan so special.

The grass roofscape of the distillery blends into it’s surroundings — and having access to explore the full estate, it allowed us to shoot a wide variety of scenarios from different perspectives that could effortlessly show the visual and natural language of it’s design.

The exterior of the distillery is matched by the interior. The undulating timber roof structure is combined with the engineering and craftsmanship of production. This gave us the opportunity to showcase a different side to not only the estate, but how the distillery itself has been captured before.

And from that production comes the product itself. From being matured in casks to the final packaging designs, we were able to create content that would show the journey and visually tell the stories of various products such as The Macallan 72 Years Old in Lalique.

To be trusted by The Macallan to produce a range of unique representations of their beloved spiritual home was an experience like no other as they continue to build their legacy.
